Erik van Wijk

Erik brings over 20 years of software product development experience in various roles to Energyworx. He has also gained extensive knowledge in the utilities sector. He worked as a software specialist for companies such as Compuware Europe and Vattenfall Trading before co-founding Energyworx. At Vattenfall, he worked on an energy trading platform and a Market Data Management solution. At Compuware Europe, he was part of the software development team designing and building products like Uniface and the complex application generation platform OptimalJ, which was based on MDA (Model Driven Architecture). Erik believes it is important to make the utilities sector aware of the coming data explosion and the new challenges ahead. These challenges require new, affordable sophisticated solutions. With great enthusiasm, Erik uses his skills, knowledge, and the latest technologies to make the impossible possible when it comes to big data in the utilities sector. In his private life, he enjoys spending time with his family or doing sports when he is not working at his laptop.
