Libertatis Ergo Holding B.V. (LEH) is an independent, wholly-owned subsidiary of Leiden University, established in 1996. Its mission is to enhance the societal and economic impact of the university's activities by fostering entrepreneurs and investing in science-based startup and spin-out companies to bring research and innovation to market. LEH is an active investor, having invested in 37 companies, primarily in Seed rounds, with a focus on Netherlands-based startups in Life Sciences, High Tech, and HealthTech. Their portfolio includes one IPO and two acquisitions.
