Just Transition Fund

The Just Transition Fund is a national fund dedicated to partnering with community-based organizations in the United States to strengthen and diversify local economies in communities impacted by the transition away from coal. They are the only national fund solely focused on coal community transition, aiming to find, connect, and scale locally led initiatives. Their efforts have leveraged over $2.6 billion in public investment, leading to the creation and retention of thousands of jobs, establishment of new businesses, and support for entrepreneurs and households.
