The Federal Holding and Investment Company (SFPIM) is Belgium's sovereign wealth fund. It centrally manages the federal government's shareholdings and pursues its own investment policy to benefit the Belgian economy. SFPIM aims to be a reliable partner for Belgian companies, including established SMEs and scale-ups, by offering 'smart capital solutions' to foster growth and long-term stability. The fund invests across various sectors, including traditional areas like life sciences, healthcare, finance, and aviation, as well as emerging sectors such as energy & utilities, transport & mobility, and impact investing. SFPIM also manages a significant portfolio of assets for the federal state, valued at €14 billion.
