Utrecht Holdings is the Knowledge Transfer Office (KTO) for Utrecht University and UMC Utrecht, established in 1998. It focuses on translating scientific research into societal and economic impact by supporting knowledge transfer, commercializing intellectual property, and fostering spin-off companies. Utrecht Holdings provides legal, strategic, and financial support to researchers to bring their inventions to market. It manages the Utrecht Holdings Seed Fund and the Make It Matter voucher program to fund early-stage development.
