Lead Software Engineer (Team Lead) — Billing Squad

Lead Software Engineer for the Billing Squad at C Teleport, a fast-growing travel tech company. Set the technical direction for one of the company's most business-critical domains — invoicing, payments, reconciliation, VAT, and revenue recognition across multiple jurisdictions. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll define technical direction from design through implementation, contribute directly to the codebase, lead code reviews, and keep the squad's stack current. Work closely with the Product Owner, Architects, and QA to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable solutions. Serve as the technical counterpart to the Product Owner, actively shaping solutions with Finance and company management. Responsibilities include setting technical direction from design to implementation, hands-on code contributions, partnering on roadmap and MVP planning, challenging estimates and surfacing risks, ensuring production stability, enforcing coding standards, evaluating new technologies, mentoring squad engineers, aligning between Engineering and Product/QA/Support/Architecture, and fostering a culture of commitment.

Requirements:

• 7+ years in software engineering with deep .NET / C# expertise
• 2+ years in a Team Lead role or equivalent
• Strong hands-on coding background
• Solid grasp of architectural patterns, SOLID, TDD, DDD, Event Sourcing, and CQRS
• Practical experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and message brokers (RabbitMQ or similar)
• Hands-on with microservices and Docker; AWS or Kubernetes experience is a plus
• Curiosity about modern and emerging technologies
• Excellent attention to detail and get-it-done attitude
• Strong English communication skills
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and drive cross-functional collaboration

Nice to Have:

• Prior experience with invoicing, payments, ERP integration, or finance-related products
• Familiarity with VAT/GST, accounting principles, or revenue recognition
