Senior Java Developer Amsterdam

As a Senior Java Developer you work on the core of an AI-powered healthtech platform reaching millions of people worldwide. You build and optimize scalable microservices with Java21, Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes and AWS services, with focus on performance, scalability and reliability. You work in a distributed cross-functional team with software engineers, data engineers, data scientists and product managers on new features. As a senior you take on a broader role: you introduce coding standards, contribute to architecture decisions and coach junior engineers. The organization is growing rapidly, offering opportunities to progress towards Tech Lead.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of backend development experience
• Experience with Java (preferably Java17/21) and Spring Boot
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker and CI/CD
• Experience with AWS services or other cloud platform
• Experience designing (micro)services
• Experience mentoring junior or mid-level software engineers
• Completed technical BSc or MSc is a strong plus

• Salary €75,000–€85,000 gross per year + 10% bonus
