Sr. Manager, Engineering

As Senior Engineering Manager at Databricks, you work with your team to build infrastructure and products for the Databricks platform at scale. You are responsible for leading a team that works on:

• Resource management infrastructure for big data and machine learning workloads on the Databricks platform in a scalable, secure, and cloud-agnostic way
• Developing reliable, scalable services and client libraries that handle large volumes of data in the cloud, across geographic regions and cloud providers
• Building tools that enable Databricks engineers to operate their services across different clouds and environments
• Creating services, products, and infrastructure at the intersection of machine learning and distributed systems

• Supporting engineers in their career development through clear feedback and development of engineering leaders
• Maintaining high technical standards through processes (architecture reviews, testing) and culture (engineering excellence)
• Collaborating with engineering and product leadership on a long-term roadmap
• Coordinating execution and collaboration across teams to deliver cross-cutting projects
