# Postdoc Position: Human-Centric AI for Sequential Decision-Making

## Overview
Join the Department of Industrial Engineering & Innovation Sciences at TU/e as a Postdoc to develop human-centric, explainable, and collaborative AI systems. This is a one-year position within the European PEER project, focusing on reinforcement learning and planning approaches that enhance trust, acceptance, and performance in human-AI teamwork.

## Key Responsibilities

• Develop novel human-centric AI algorithms and techniques for reinforcement learning and planning settings
• Create interactive and responsive explanations for automated sequential decision-making
• Integrate learning, planning, user feedback, and explanations into fluid interaction loops between users and AI
• Contribute to the management of a work package in the Horizon Europe PEER project
• Provide scientific coordination with international partners
• Support timely delivery of project results and manage project tasks

## Research Focus Areas

• Reinforcement learning and planning methods that propose multiple solutions for user adaptation and refinement
• Enhanced algorithms for explaining sequential decision-making with interactive user feedback mechanisms
• Novel integration methods for learning, planning, and user feedback in consistent interaction loops

## Work Environment
You will be embedded within the AI for Decision-Making cluster of the Information Systems group, collaborating with a larger team of scientists and application partners within the PEER project.
