Data Scientist - Freelance

As a Data Scientist within a central research team, you work on innovative data products and model solutions with direct impact. The focus is on detecting energy-related devices via meter data, developing proof-of-concepts, and building reusable data science packages. You operate at the intersection of research, platform development, and applied data science.

## What will you do?

• Develop models to detect devices, behavior, or assets based on large-scale time series and usage data
• Build and validate proof-of-concepts for new data-driven use cases
• Develop and maintain shared data science libraries and tooling
• Translate experimental solutions into robust, production-ready components
• Collaborate with other data scientists and teams to promote adoption and reuse
• Improve model performance, interpretability, and scalability

## Core focus areas

Pattern & Asset Detection: Identify patterns, devices, or usage profiles from large-scale time series data, apply machine learning and pattern recognition techniques, improve model accuracy, stability, and generalizability.

Proof-of-Concept Development: Rapidly iterate on new ideas and analytical use cases, validate business value and technical feasibility, bridge exploration, validation, and production.

Data Science Platform & Packages: Develop reusable libraries and tools for data science teams, standardize workflows, code quality and best practices, support and enable other data scientists.
