# Data Science – Experimentation Expert at Polarsteps
Join Polarsteps' Growth & Marketing department as a Data Scientist specializing in experimentation. You'll partner with the Head of Growth and collaborate with product, marketing, designers, and engineers to drive experimentation practices and enable trustworthy decisions at scale.
## Key Responsibilities
- Partner with product, growth, and marketing teams to translate business questions into well-designed experiments with clear success criteria
- Design, run, and analyze experiments across product and marketing to help Polarsteps make confident, data-backed decisions at scale
- Advance experimentation methodology by introducing techniques like SPRT, stratified sampling, and variance reduction to learn faster and ship with more confidence
- Build and maintain statistical frameworks and tooling that power the experimentation practice, from sample size calculators to automated analysis pipelines
- Present experiment results and strategic insights to senior stakeholders, turning statistical findings into clear, actionable recommendations
## Requirements
- 5+ years of related industry experience in data science and experimentation
- Experience with B2C native mobile apps
- Expertise in SQL and Python; knowledge of cloud data environments (AWS, Clickhouse, etc.)
- Hands-on experience building and scaling experimentation practices in start-ups or scale-ups
- Knowledge of statistical methods: causal inference, multi-arm bandits, reinforcement learning, synthetic data, non-parametric methods
- Familiarity with product analytics tools (Mixpanel, Amplitude, Appsflyer, Adjust, Looker, Metabase)
- Strong communication skills to explain data science concepts to diverse audiences
- Intellectually curious, creative, diligent; business-minded with focus on practical 80/20 solutions
