# Senior Backend Engineer - Core/Service

Prepr is a technology-driven, data-driven headless CMS platform with over 1,000 live customers. We're looking for Backend Engineers to join our team in Utrecht, The Netherlands.

## Responsibilities

• Designing and developing our platform to scale and expand into new markets
• Development of backend applications and microservices
• Designing and modelling data infrastructure
• Integration of 3rd party services, such as search and e-commerce platforms
• Debugging, root-cause analysis, bug fixing

## Requirements

• 3+ years of development experience in a product-driven environment
• Native level of fluency in English (spoken and written)
• Work independently but in a highly motivated and passionate team
• Experience with scrum development, data-driven approach, and customer feedback incorporation
• Working knowledge of JavaScript, Node.js, Redis, PHP
• Working knowledge of Git and GitHub
• GraphQL experience
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Enjoyment working on mission-critical products
• Strong collaboration and communication skills; team player who enjoys mentoring and being mentored

## Nice-to-have bonus points

• Working knowledge of REST APIs
• Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• Working knowledge of Neo4j or Cypher
• Working knowledge of cloud-provider deployments (AWS, Fastly)
• Good level of fluency in Dutch (spoken and written)
