# Junior Software Engineer PLC
## About the role
You are responsible for designing, programming, and configuring PLC control systems at an international company that produces high-tech sorting machines for the food industry.
## Job responsibilities
- Design, program, and configure PLC control systems
- Program in Siemens TIA Portal and Siemens S7
- Analyze existing PLC control systems and optimization
- Involved in testing and commissioning of PLC control systems
- Work on both new projects and optimization of existing PLC automation projects
## Job requirements
- Completed HBO degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Computer Science, Embedded Software, or equivalent
- Good analytical skills; you know where the problem lies and can identify and solve the root cause
- Good communication skills
- Affinity with project and process-based working
- Conceptual thinking skills; you can devise solutions at the system level
- Proactive attitude; you think and act in terms of solutions
- Professional command of the Dutch language; knowledge of English is appreciated
