Brainial launches Tender Alert and extends contract with Croonwolter&dros

Utrecht-based company Brainial has launched a new product called Tender Alert. The product collects tender announcements and publications from a range of sources and presents them in a single dashboard. Simultaneously, Croonwolter&dros, a technology company active in installation engineering and infrastructure, has extended its existing contract with Brainial for a period of three years.

Brainial was founded in 2019 and develops AI software that enables organisations to write and manage tender submissions more efficiently. With Tender Alert, the company expands its product portfolio into the phase prior to submission: identifying and tracking relevant tenders.

What Tender Alert does

Tender Alert focuses on a step that is time-consuming for many tendering organisations: monitoring tender markets. Tenders are published across various platforms and databases, meaning organisations must manually track multiple sources to avoid missing opportunities.

The new product consolidates those publications into a single overview. Users can see through one dashboard which tenders have been published, without having to consult separate sources. Brainial combines this with the AI functionality the company already offers for drafting and managing submissions, with the aim of supporting the entire process from identification through to submission.

Specific details about the sources Tender Alert covers, its pricing, or the number of users currently using the product are not available based on the source material at hand.

Croonwolter&dros extends for three years

Alongside the product launch, Brainial announced that Croonwolter&dros has renewed its contract. Croonwolter&dros is a Dutch technology company operating in installations, data and infrastructure. The company uses Brainial's AI software for tender and bid management and has now chosen to continue doing so for a period of three years.

Contract renewals are a relevant indicator for software companies in an early growth stage: they demonstrate that existing customers are deriving sufficient value from the product to continue the relationship on a structural basis. For Brainial, founded in 2019, Croonwolter&dros represents a reference client in the market of contractors and technical service providers that regularly participate in tendering procedures.

No details have been disclosed regarding the financial value of the contract.

Position in the tender market

Tenders make up a significant share of the contract market for construction, technology and service providers in the Netherlands. Public authorities and semi-public organisations are in many sectors required to put contracts above certain thresholds out to European tender. This makes the market for software that supports the tendering process structurally relevant.

With its platform, Brainial targets organisations that regularly bid on such tenders and need to deploy internal capacity and expertise to do so. By offering both the identification layer (Tender Alert) and the drafting and management functionality, the company aims to support a broader part of the workflow around tendering.

For the wider Dutch AI and software scene, the combination of a new product line and a renewed enterprise contract illustrates how young companies from the ecosystem are gradually consolidating their position in a specific vertical market. The tender market is a niche with clear user needs and recurring demand, making it attractive to specialised software developers. The fact that Brainial, from Utrecht, is demonstrating both moves simultaneously gives investors and other founders a concrete picture of how product development and customer development can advance in parallel within this segment.
