Rotterdam AI recruitment platform Avery rolls out series of product updates

Avery, a Rotterdam-based startup founded in 2024 by Alisher Jafarov and Marco Dubbeld, rolled out a series of updates to its AI recruitment platform between March and August 2026. The platform helps recruiters find and assess candidates for white-collar roles across Europe, and integrates with common ATS and HRIS systems such as Greenhouse, Lever, Workable, and Recruitee.

The updates cover both the platform's core functionality and new content for users and prospective customers. Together, they indicate the direction Avery is taking: greater automation of the recruitment process, better insights for recruiters, and a gradual expansion of the toolset.

Talent Hub 2.0 and improved outreach

The most significant update is Talent Hub 2.0, released in June 2026. This is a redesigned version of the internal talent pool within the platform. Recruiters can import existing candidates and share review links with hiring managers, making it possible to assess candidates outside the recruitment department.

In April 2026, Avery revamped its outreach campaigns. New features include style templates, a candidate preview, and the ability to communicate across multiple channels simultaneously, including bulk email sending. A month later, in May 2026, Avery launched an analytics dashboard to track the reach and response rate of campaigns. At the same time, recruiters gained the ability to share candidate profiles for review by hiring managers.

Further additions followed in July 2026: a Chrome extension, a feature that explains why a candidate is flagged as a strong match, and more refined filters based on education level.

Sourcing agent that learns from recruiter behaviour

In March 2026, Avery introduced a learning sourcing agent. It adjusts its candidate suggestions based on a recruiter's previous shortlisting and hiding decisions. The idea is that the system becomes more accurate at selecting relevant profiles as it is used more.

The platform positions itself as ten times faster than a recruiter at finding and assessing candidates. The company provides no details on the methodology behind this figure. Avery targets growing SMEs with 200 to 1,000 employees, but also serves recruitment agencies, consultancy teams, and freelance recruiters.

Blog content as part of the product strategy

Alongside the product updates, Avery also published a number of blog posts. In August 2026, a guide appeared for small talent teams on how to roll out an AI recruitment tool in ninety days. Earlier content addressed the functionality of an AI recruiter, explaining in concrete terms what the platform does and what it costs. In April 2026, the company published an overview of AI career tools in 2026.

The content appears aimed at prospective customers who are still weighing whether and how to adopt AI in their recruitment process. That fits Avery's target audience: companies struggling with lengthy hiring cycles or with placements that turn out to be a poor fit in hindsight.

Avery raised a pre-seed funding round of €300,000 in March 2025 from Builders Startup Studio. The company claims that customers can save up to approximately €569,350 per year in recruitment costs, though it provides no details on how that figure is calculated.

For the Dutch AI and HR tech scene, Avery's steps illustrate how young startups incrementally build out their platforms with additional functionality, in a market where larger players such as Recruitee and Teamtailor are already established. The fact that Avery focuses on integrating with those existing systems, rather than replacing them, says something about how new AI applications in the recruitment market typically seek to gain a foothold.
