RoadEO

RoadEO develops a global platform for monitoring and predicting road quality, providing advisory services to public road authorities and commercial construction firms regarding road maintenance scheduling. The company combines various data sources, including crowdsourced measurements from smartphones, in-vehicle sensors, and satellite earth observation data, to create a comprehensive data pool. This information is then processed using artificial intelligence algorithms to detect road wear and structural damages. The platform offers a cost-effective alternative to specialized vehicles and visual bypass assessments, enabling customers to optimize maintenance decisions. This approach aims to maximize road safety, reduce operational costs, and minimize downtime associated with road repairs. RoadEO was founded in 2017 in the Netherlands and is part of the European Space Agency Business Incubation program.
