But the captured instruction layer also grew from 17,501 to 40,046 words, and the number of captured tool definitions jumped from 18 to 46. I wanted to know why. I compared the unofficial Fable 5 and Fable 5.1 prompt captures line by line. Roughly 75% of the measured growth falls into two areas: memory instructions and tool schemas. Those additions give Claude more explicit ways to remember context, search past conversations, present visual answers, discover skills and plugins, suggest deeper research, and manage unsafe conversations. In this video, I break down: - What Anthropic's selected agentic benchmarks do and do not prove - Why Anthropic's published core prompt is different from the claimed assembled runtime - How the captured prompt grew from 17,501 to 40,046 words - Why 18 captured tool definitions became 46 - All 28 added tools, grouped by what they do - Claude's two different continuity systems: curated memory and past-chat retrieval - The 13 tools that turn answers into charts, comparisons, quizzes, translations, and interactive widgets - What these product-level additions mean when deciding whether Fable 5.1 belongs in your daily workflow I also put the full analysis into a free 24-page visual field guide. It includes the complete 28-tool breakdown, an index of all 46 captured tool definitions, the memory and interface changes, practical tests, and direct links to every source used.
