Description
Can AI help scale quality education to learners and communities that traditional systems have left behind? This session brings together three builders and three practical approaches to using AI and frontier technologies to expand access to education. Adnan Qureshi, Vice-President of Teach the World Foundation, presents LiveGenie, a voice-enabled multimodal AI tutor encyclopedia designed to personalise learning and expand educational opportunities in the Global South. Miriam Chickering, CEO of The Frank Foundation (NextGenU.org), explores AI as a capacity extender through the STEPS project and the Intelligent Textbook Machine, following the delivery of 52 textbooks across three countries in settings facing limited connectivity, a pandemic and armed conflict. Oluwafunmilayo Ajakaiye, Strategy, Innovation & Development Lead, Tech Trainer and AWS CTO Fellow at The Sapphires Development Initiative (TSDI), shares how underserved girls moved from near-zero digital experience to building four apps, with a special focus on STEAMSpark, a gamified STEAM and SDG learning platform. Together, the session examines practical AI solutions for education at scale, foundational learning, intelligent educational infrastructure and digital skills development for underserved communities. Recorded live at the AI for Good Global Summit 2026 at Palexpo in Geneva, Switzerland. _____________________________________________________________________ AI for Good is identifying innovative AI applications, building skills and standards, and advancing partnerships to solve global challenges.
