Koen Hindriks is a Full Professor of Artificial Intelligence at the Vrije Universiteit (VU) Amsterdam and a co-founder of Interactive Robotics, a spin-off company launched in 2016. He specializes in socio-cognitive robotics, focusing on making robots more social and developing unique interaction architectures for them. With a background spanning extensive academic research and a PhD in Computing Science, his expertise includes creating robots as companions and assistants for healthcare and education, as well as service robots for business solutions. He has also published over 150 papers on cognitive agent technology.
