Developer Intern (AI)

As a Developer Intern at AKQA, you will play an essential role in designing and building AI agents that automate and enhance image processing in our creative content production pipelines. You bring strong engineering thinking and practical craftsmanship, developing and delivering from concept to working tool. You will also explore how emerging technologies, including generative AI and agentic systems, can transform the way visual content is produced at scale.

You will be an integrated member of the Creative Studio / Technology team, working on agent development, image processing pipelines, and content production tooling. Your tasks will include:

• Contributing and collaborating in cross-functional teams with designers and creatives
• Designing, building, and iterating AI agents that automate image processing tasks such as background removal, retouching, upscaling, format adjustment, and asset generation
• Prototyping and integrating generative AI and computer vision models into production workflows, writing clean and maintainable code in languages such as Python and Swift with Figma MCPs
• Investigating and experimenting with emerging AI tooling and agentic frameworks
• Working in a fast-paced environment with high accuracy, taking ownership of tasks from brief to deployment

Requirements: strong software development foundations, experience with Python or TypeScript, experience with ComfyUI, familiarity with AI/ML or computer vision libraries and image processing tools, exposure to agentic frameworks or LLM APIs, knowledge of Figma and image models with Google, detail-oriented and self-motivated, positive team player, fluent English.
