As Product Owner at C Teleport, you are responsible for defining and delivering the product roadmap that supports billing, invoicing, payments, and revenue recognition. You work closely with engineering, finance, operations, and commercial teams to translate regulations and business requirements into reliable, secure, and scalable solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Own the Billing product area end-to-end: define vision, prioritize the backlog, write clear user stories and acceptance criteria, ensure successful feature delivery
- Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Compliance to ensure billing solutions meet accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements across relevant jurisdictions
- Partner with engineering and platform teams to design secure, resilient, and scalable payment and invoicing systems, including support for multiple currencies, tax handling, and payment providers
- Drive continuous improvement of billing operations: reduce manual reconciliation, improve collections, automate dispute handling and refunds
- Work closely with Customer Success and Sales to understand commercial contracts, pricing models, and billing needs; translate these into product capabilities that support new business models and market expansion
- Define and track KPIs for billing health and performance, and use data to drive prioritization
- Support migrations and integrations with external ERP and accounting systems
- Act as product authority during planning, grooming, and delivery ceremonies
Requirements:
- Proven experience (3+ years) as Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role on billing, payments, invoicing, or finance-related products in a tech or SaaS environment
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, VAT/GST, and cross-border tax considerations
- Hands-on experience defining user stories and acceptance criteria in an agile environment
- Experience with integrating payment gateways, acquiring banks, and ERP/accounting systems is highly desirable
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Customer-focused and pragmatic: able to balance short-term operational needs with long-term stability and scalability
- Degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
