# Operational Excellence Internship - AI and Process Improvement

The Operational Excellence department supports ASML's factories with improving performance, stability, and efficiency across operations. This internship explores how artificial intelligence can enhance recurring activities and enable smarter, data-driven ways of working within a high-tech manufacturing environment.

## Main Responsibilities

• Map and analyze recurring activities across the department
• Identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities in workflows
• Explore and evaluate AI tools for practical business applications
• Translate process challenges into realistic AI use cases
• Propose solutions with clear business value and feasibility
• Document findings through structured reports and presentations
• Share insights to support ongoing improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple functions to identify opportunities

## Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in artificial intelligence, data science, industrial engineering, business analytics, or related field
• Interest in applying AI within operational and manufacturing environments
• Analytical skills in process mapping and problem solving
• Clear communication and effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders
• Curiosity, ownership, and proactive approach to learning
• Enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship
• Located in the Netherlands (or willing to relocate)
• Non-EU citizens must have university willing to sign Nuffic agreement

## Additional Information

Minimum 3 months duration, minimum 24 hours per week (including 2 days on-site). Start date: September 2026.
