Lead Software Engineer (Team Lead) — Billing Squad

Lead Software Engineer for the Billing Squad at C Teleport, a fast-growing travel tech company. Own the squad's technical direction for one of the company's most business-critical domains — invoicing, payments, reconciliation, VAT and revenue recognition across multiple jurisdictions. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll set technical direction, contribute directly to the codebase, lead code reviews, and keep the squad's stack current. Partner closely with the Product Owner, Architects and QA to deliver reliable, secure and scalable solutions. Act as the Product Owner's technical counterpart, actively shaping solutions and engaging with Finance and company management. Responsibilities include owning technical direction from design to implementation, staying hands-on with code contributions, partnering on roadmap and MVP planning, challenging estimates and surfacing risks, safeguarding production stability, enforcing coding standards, evaluating new technologies, mentoring squad engineers, liaising between Engineering and Product/QA/Support/Architecture, and promoting a culture of commitment.

Requirements:

• 7+ years in software engineering with deep .NET / C# expertise
• 2+ years in a Team Lead or equivalent role
• Strong hands-on coding background
• Solid grasp of architectural patterns, SOLID, TDD, DDD, Event Sourcing and CQRS
• Practical experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and message brokers (RabbitMQ or similar)
• Hands-on with microservices and Docker; AWS or Kubernetes experience is a plus
• Curiosity for modern and emerging tech
• Excellent attention to detail and get-it-done attitude
• Strong English communication
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and drive cross-functional collaboration

Nice to Have:

• Prior experience on billing, invoicing, payments, ERP integration or finance-related products
• Familiarity with VAT/GST, accounting principles or revenue recognition
