Research Engineer – Affective Computing

As a Research Engineer in Affective Computing at Huawei Amsterdam Research Center, you will conduct research into how AI can recognize and respond to emotional signals across different modalities (face, voice, text). You will contribute to applications that make human-machine interaction more expressive, adaptive and human-centered.

Key responsibilities:

• Research in affective computing, multimodal learning and emotion-aware AI
• Design and evaluation of algorithms and models that improve emotional understanding
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to translate research into practical applications
• Stay current with the latest AI developments and publish in leading venues
