# Machine Learning Scientist - Regulatory Reporting Tech

Adyen is seeking a Machine Learning Scientist to join the Regulatory Financial Modelling & Analytics team within Regulatory Reporting Tech. This role focuses on automating and scaling Adyen's global regulatory reporting framework to ensure compliance across all markets.

## Responsibilities:

Build – Design and scale production-ready ML models to support regulatory reporting and risk requirements. Own the end-to-end lifecycle, from feature engineering within the Big Data ecosystem (Spark/Hadoop) to building internal infrastructure.

Discover – Move beyond simple detection to build automated root-cause analysis. Develop logic that translates complex statistical signals into actionable recommendations.

Collaborate – Work at the heart of a product-driven team. Sit close to users, gather continuous feedback to ensure technical solutions solve real-world business friction and drive product adoption.

## Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or Data Scientist (Anomaly Detection, Time-Series, or Signal Processing)
• Engineering-first mindset; treat ML code like production code and manage own deployments and infrastructure
• Proficiency in Python and Big Data frameworks (PySpark, Airflow, Hadoop, Kafka)
• Strong interest in Causal Inference
• Pragmatic problem solver who prioritizes business impact and reliability over model complexity
• Proactive project leadership from ideation to deployment
• Experience working with diverse stakeholders and communicating complex outcomes
• Ability to work in product teams with demanding stakeholders and drive team roadmap

Experience with SparkStreaming/Flink, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus.
