## Role Overview
As a Medior Machine Learning Engineer, you will be part of a dedicated team of approximately 30 enthusiastic Analysts, Data Scientists, and Machine Learning Engineers. You will work closely with Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Product Owners, and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable and robust Data Science products that improve the omni-channel customer journey. Examples include improving personal bonus offers in Mijn Bonus Box and suggesting suitable products during online shopping using recommendation technologies.
## Key Responsibilities
- Design, test, and build scalable machine learning solutions in a multidisciplinary team
- Communicate solutions clearly to technical audiences
- Translate stakeholder requirements into solutions and proactively communicate progress on technical tasks
- Contribute as part of a team with Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and Product Owners
- Use software engineering skills and interest in analytics, data science, and machine learning methods
- Support Data Scientists and Data Analysts in developing and scaling software while keeping production and operations in mind
## Required Profile
- 2+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Software Engineer, AI Engineer, or Machine Learning Engineer
- Strong software development skills: solid, readable, testable code (Python, packaging, testing, CI/CD)
- Experience bringing machine learning into production (MLOps, model life cycle management, monitoring)
- Experience maintaining and further developing existing software projects in production
- Solution design skills – architecting and designing scalable solutions
- Excellent communication skills; team player
- Experience with big data technology (for example, Spark), writing queries, and working with large datasets
- Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and running web servers/services/APIs in production
- Interest in analytics, machine learning, data science, and experimentation
- Based in the Netherlands
