# Thesis Project: Dynamics 365 CE Performance Optimization

At Avanade, we design and implement complex Dynamics 365 CE solutions for organizations with diverse performance and user experience requirements.

You will investigate how technical choices within Dynamics 365 CE and Dataverse impact performance, scalability and user experience, and how performance can be made transparent, measurable and structurally improved. The focus is on technical architecture, configuration and measurements, in relation to realistic CE scenarios.

## Background

Dynamics 365 CE (model-driven apps) runs as a distributed cloud application with Dataverse as the backend. User experience is influenced by, among other factors:

• Network roundtrips and browser interactions
• Dataverse throughput and API calls
• Solution structure and ALM choices
• Form and view complexity
• Custom code such as JavaScript, plugins and PCF controls
• Increasing use of AI functionality

Because performance has a direct impact on user productivity and adoption, it is essential to understand where performance gains can be achieved, which choices have the most effect, and how this can be measured objectively.
