# Senior Data Scientist - Product Insights
## About the role and team
Catawiki is looking for a Senior Data Scientist - Product Insights to collaborate with Product teams and use data to identify user journey opportunities and measure the success of product features and teams.
You are part of the Data Science Product Insights Team and help understand data better, find actionable insights, and create self-service capabilities by combining data from multiple sources and working closely with colleagues in other departments.
In this role, no two days will be the same: you build dashboards, design and analyze A/B tests, discover trends in user behavior, collaborate with your Data colleagues on discovery for a new ML model, or improve the reliability of our data pipelines.
## What you do
- Analytics for a broad product area: You take full ownership of a large portion of the platform. This could include analytics for all buyer-facing features, all seller-facing experiences, or everything related to fulfillment. You build strong relationships with stakeholders and proactively identify opportunities by deeply understanding Catawiki's user behavior.
- Transform data into insights and recommendations: You go beyond tracking metrics—you define and refine key success measures, discover trends, and translate data into clear recommendations. Your insights help shape Product decisions, identify opportunities, and advance strategy.
- Leverage advanced analytics: Using techniques such as regression analysis, causal inference, and A/B testing, you analyze user behavior, identify actionable insights, and evaluate the effectiveness of new features.
- Enable data-driven decision-making at scale: You identify and implement self-service data solutions that enable Product teams to make informed decisions faster.
## Who you are
- Experienced data leader with a strong quantitative background and 6+ years of experience in data science or analytics, preferably in an online business
- Advanced technical skills in SQL and experience writing code in Python, R, or other languages
- Strong statistical expertise with knowledge of regression analysis, causal inference, time series modeling, and hypothesis testing
- Extensive experience with web and app analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
- Hands-on experience designing and evaluating A/B tests
- Strategic problem-solver who proactively identifies opportunities
