## Position Overview
Join the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Eindhoven University of Technology as an Associate Professor in Generative AI. This role is embedded within the Data and Artificial Intelligence cluster and offers the opportunity to advance fundamental AI methodology, strengthen international collaborations, and develop robust, reliable, and theoretically grounded AI systems.

## Research Focus
The position focuses on Generative AI, which combines probabilistic modeling and deep learning to formulate AI systems that capture underlying generative processes. Research encompasses deep generative models, data synthesis, uncertainty quantification, and addressing foundational issues including robustness, safety, fairness, trust, reliability, tractability, scalability, interpretability, and explainability of AI.

## Key Responsibilities

• Drive research in Generative AI with strong theoretical and practical results with societal impact
• Stimulate and initiate new research directions within the Data and Artificial Intelligence cluster
• Develop and execute top-quality education in Computer Science, Data Science, and AI programs
• Develop and teach a stable Deep Learning course for master programs
• Supervise BSc, MSc, PhD, and EngD students
• Initiate, acquire, and coordinate research projects with external funding
• Strengthen relations with international partners
• Perform managerial and administrative tasks for the department, university, or inter-university institutes
