Amsterdam will serve as the backdrop for the AI & Big Data Expo Europe in autumn 2026. Organiser TechEx will hold the two-day event on 20 and 21 October at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre. Some sources cite 19 and 20 October as the dates; TechEx has not yet provided definitive clarification on this.
The expo targets senior technology leaders, AI practitioners and policymakers from across Europe. More than 8,000 visitors, over 200 exhibitors and more than 250 speakers are expected, making it one of the larger European trade shows at the intersection of AI and data infrastructure.
The event forms part of the broader TechEx Europe programme, at which multiple technology expos run simultaneously, including the IoT Tech Expo, Cyber Security & Cloud Expo and a new track focused on Physical AI.
Content themes
The 2026 programme revolves around five main themes: enterprise AI strategy and adoption, generative AI and automation, data infrastructure and architecture, AI governance and compliance, and sector-specific AI applications in areas including healthcare, manufacturing and financial services.
New to this edition are a Learning Hub and a TechEx Meetup Zone, where workshops, roundtable discussions and focused conversations will take place alongside the regular speaker sessions. The format is designed to allow attendees not only to listen, but also to exchange practical knowledge.
Speakers from the international business community
The speaker line-up consists primarily of chief data officers, AI directors and CTOs from large multinationals. Confirmed names include Claudio Gienal (Chief Transformation Officer at AXA Europe & Health), Prabhat Singh (Global Chief Data & Analytics Officer at Unilever's Magnum Ice Cream Company) and Vincent Decugis (Chief Data Officer at BNP Paribas).
From the technology sector, speakers include Jose Alvarez (Director of Research at NVIDIA), Leslie Karpas (Inception Global Head of Physical AI at NVIDIA), Sunil Murthy (AI Field CTO at IBM) and Doug Freud (VP AI at SAP). Patrick Summers represents Perplexity as Founding Enterprise Lead. Bart Veenman, Lead AI Services at KPMG Netherlands, is one of the few Dutch speakers on the provisional list.
Also on the programme are representatives from GE Healthcare, Michelin, Daimler Truck North America, Citi, State Street, Synopsys and HPE, among others.
Sponsors and exhibitors
Confirmed sponsors include IBM, NVIDIA, Dell Technologies, BMC Software, Snowflake, Salesforce, Okta, EY, Experian and Rubrik. In addition, smaller and more specialised vendors will be present, such as CrateDB, Fivetran, Ververica, Alteryx, Glean and Edge Impulse.
TechEx has also included an AI Start-Up Area in the programme, specifically aimed at early-stage companies seeking to connect with investors and corporate venture teams. Venture capitalists and corporate venture groups are explicitly listed as part of the target audience.
Target audience and access
TechEx is targeting a broad professional audience with the expo: from CIOs and CTOs to heads of data science, machine learning and analytics, as well as compliance and legal professionals and risk managers. This reflects the broader shift in AI adoption, where governance and regulation are increasingly weighing alongside technical implementation.
Registration for the expo is open via the TechEx website. Separate registration procedures apply for participation in specific workshops or the meetup zone; full details have not yet been published.
For the Dutch and wider European AI scene, the choice of Amsterdam as a permanent venue is no coincidence. The RAI has been attracting international technology trade shows for years, and the presence of a dedicated start-up zone and investor programme makes the event relevant to the European founder community as well. The participation of major names such as NVIDIA, IBM and SAP as sponsors also makes it a venue where partnerships and commercial conversations take place alongside the substantive sessions.
