## About the role
We are looking for a full-stack engineer who delivers features end-to-end, communicates directly with users, and pays close attention to detail. This role suits someone who cares about shipping software, is not limited to front-end, backend or infrastructure, and works comfortably with sensitive data in a regulated environment.

You work directly alongside the founding team and our customers. In practice, this might mean working with a municipal researcher on Monday morning to understand their workflow, and rolling out the fix Monday afternoon.

## What you will do

• Manage features end-to-end in a web application for researchers in public safety and intelligence
• Work directly with government clients to understand their problems and translate them into working software
• Build software that processes sensitive government data; accuracy and security are crucial here
• Manage and improve our bare metal infrastructure in the Netherlands; we do not run on the cloud
• Make technical decisions that will shape the platform for years to come

## Requirements

• Productive in modern web frameworks (Next.js / React or comparable)
• Strong backend engineering skills; you can design data models, reason about query performance, and build reliable APIs
• Stack: Python and Next.js on PostgreSQL
• Security-conscious by default; you think about authentication, authorization, and secure data handling as part of building features
• Experience with or good working knowledge of deploying and managing production software (Linux, CI/CD, containerization)
• Fluent in Dutch and English

## Nice to have

• Eye for UX
• Experience with information security practices, compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2), or working in regulated environments
• Experience building AI/ML systems or data pipelines
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, observability, or network security
• Previous startup experience or experience in intelligence, public safety, or government
