Python Software Engineer - AI

Python SWE contract position at an AI research lab. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining production-grade Python systems, designing modular and testable codebases using FastAPI and Pydantic, optimizing performance through profiling and memory management, collaborating with foundational model AI labs to improve AI model training and evaluation, and working independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and enhance AI model performance.

Must-Have Qualifications: Experience working at top US tech firms, proven track record with complex Python systems, deep understanding of Python language fundamentals, and experience with FastAPI, Pydantic, and modern Python best practices.

Interview Process: 90 minutes human interview focused on Python. No AI IDE allowed; LLMs and Stack Overflow permitted.
