# Senior Data & AI Platform Engineer

Organizations want to do more than experiment with AI and data proof-of-concepts; they want to bring solutions live with real data to effectively support their customers and employees. This requires robust platforms where data engineering, machine learning and AI solutions converge.

As a Senior Data & AI Platform Engineer, you will build the foundations of Data and AI platforms that enable teams to train, deploy and manage models with governance, security and performance by design.

You work at the intersection of data engineering and platform engineering. Not isolated pipelines or manual workarounds, but standardized, reusable solutions that accelerate and manage ML and AI workloads.

## Your role in our team

As Senior Data & AI Platform Engineer, you are responsible for designing and building scalable data and AI platforms, with Databricks as a core component. You collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, platform engineers and architects to bring AI from experiment to production.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Designing, building and optimizing data and AI platforms on Databricks (Azure or AWS)
• Implementing ML and AI workflows for training, inference and monitoring, including orchestration
• Developing data pipelines and compute-intensive backends with Python, SQL and (Py)Spark
• Leveraging Mosaic AI and Databricks for end-to-end AI platform capabilities
• Setting up data architectures such as medallion architectures, dimensional modeling and 3NF
• Integrating governance and metadata solutions (Unity Catalog, Collibra)
• Collaborating in Agile/DevSecOps teams, where CI/CD and security-by-design are standard practice
• Improving performance, scalability and cost management (FinOps mindset)
• Coaching and mentoring fellow engineers and contributing to knowledge sharing within the team
