We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer with strong expertise in Generative AI, Machine Learning, and Azure Cloud technologies to join an innovative technology team in Amsterdam.
## Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop AI and Generative AI solutions for enterprise applications
- Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance AI platforms and services on Microsoft Azure
- Build and optimize solutions leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering techniques, embeddings, and RAG architectures
- Develop and maintain Python-based AI and machine learning applications
- Integrate AI services with enterprise systems through REST APIs and microservices architectures
- Implement and manage model lifecycle processes, including deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver AI-driven solutions
- Ensure compliance with security, governance, and data privacy requirements
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend best practices for enterprise adoption
- Troubleshoot and optimize AI workloads to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance
## Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in Python programming
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML and Generative AI technologies
- Proven experience designing scalable AI architectures and enterprise AI solutions
- Expertise with Large Language Models (LLMs), Prompt Engineering, Embeddings, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure services including Azure Machine Learning, Azure OpenAI, Azure Functions, and Azure App Services
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs and microservices
- Strong knowledge of SQL and data processing libraries such as Pandas and NumPy
- Experience with AI model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management
- Understanding of data security, governance, and compliance requirements
- Fluent Dutch language skills (mandatory)
## Preferred Qualifications
- Experience delivering AI solutions within large enterprise environments
- Familiarity with MLOps practices and AI governance frameworks
- Experience with cloud-native architecture and distributed systems
- Knowledge of modern AI security and responsible AI practices
- Azure certifications related to AI, Data, or Cloud Architecture
