# Software Engineer Intern – AI & Agentic Systems
We're looking for a hands-on, curious Software Engineer Intern who wants to see how AI becomes reality through system thinking. You'll work across AI integrations, backend services, and automation workflows that power agentic architectures.
## Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the team to design, build, and deploy Agentic AI models that solve real-world business problems, from front-end development to API integration
- Work with engineering and AI consulting teams to design and implement intelligent software components for AI-powered products
- Build and test backend APIs, data pipelines, and workflow orchestration modules that connect large language models with enterprise data
- Collaborate on the development of internal tools for model monitoring, evaluation, and interaction (copilots, assistants, automation agents)
- Translate client and internal requirements into clean, efficient, and scalable software designs
- Participate in code reviews, architecture sessions, and product demos
- Support proof-of-concept implementations for clients — from concept validation to integration and deployment
- Continuously learn and experiment with emerging frameworks for generative AI, vector-based retrieval, and workflow automation
## Minimum Qualifications
- Final year of MBO, HBO, or university program in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related technical field
- Proficiency in Python or TypeScript, with experience building or integrating APIs and working with modern frameworks
- Understanding of data structures, version control (Git), and backend or cloud-based systems
- Interest in AI integration, automation, or large-scale data applications
- Strong problem-solving mindset, proactive communication, and ability to work in a fast-moving environment
- Fluency in English (Dutch is a plus)
## Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AI integration frameworks, orchestration, or workflow automation tools
- Exposure to cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and distributed data processing
- Familiarity with LLM APIs, vector databases, or building data-driven applications
- Understanding of modern architecture concepts (microservices, event-driven systems, data pipelines)
- Entrepreneurial mindset with experience building apps, contributing to open source, or joining startup projects
## What You'll Learn
- How to design and implement AI-enabled software that runs in real enterprise environments
- How AI solutions are architected, validated, and deployed
- How to think like a consulting engineer
- How to translate abstract use cases into working systems
- How modern businesses use agentic AI to automate reasoning, orchestration, and decision-making
